"Snow Bird"

This small doll is balanced to stand on her own, using a “Stump” or “pincushion” style lower body. Wired fingers. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Hair is two shades of silver of fine mohair yarn, sewn and twisted and into a sculptural form.

Quilted cream fabric “Stump” skirt has an arrangement of small white wool felt flowers buds and leaves accented with seed beads create a three dimensional element to the front of the skirt. Vintage lace hankie and vintage trim around the waist. A handcrafted Paper Clay white bird sits in the arrangement. White wool felt hat with beads, a white flower and leaves on each side of the hat. Another white bird sits on top of the hat. (Birds hand crafted by my friend Lillian Alberti). OOAK
