Details of face and bodice Honey colored wool felt hat with beads, a white flowers and leaves on the side of the hat. Flower bud on the top of the hat. Hair is three colors of fine mohair yarn, sewn and twisted and into a sculptural form. Features created with acrylic paint, pigma pen, Prisma color pencils. Lips, eyebrows, lids, flair of nostrils and fingernails hand stitched with Gutterman’s and Sulky thread. Highlight and shadow create depth.

                                          Detail of the bees and leaves in center of the skirt. Black and white checkerboard runs along the bottom of the skirt. Leaves have metallic thread veins and seed beads. Small white flower buds and white felt daisy.

"A Bee in Her Bonnet"

                                                                 "Bee in her Bonnet" This small doll is balanced to stand on her own, using a “Stump” or “pincushion” style lower body. Wired fingers. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Cotton overskirt has bees, crowns and honeycomb in the design. Small wool felt bees, flowers and leaves accented with seed beads create a three dimensional element to the front of the skirt. Black and white checkerboard runs along the bottom of the skirt. Tiny brown and black check cotton fabric bodice and sleeves.  Honey colored wool felt hat with beads, a white flowers and leaves on the side of the hat. Flower bud on the top of the hat. Hair is three colors of fine mohair yarn, sewn and twisted and into a sculptural form. OOAK

                                                      Close up view of "Lady Dragonfly".    Trapunto technique in the face to lift the nose. Features created with acrylic paint, pigma pen, Prisma color pencils. Lips, eyebrows, lids, flair of nostrils and fingernails hand stitched with Gutterman’s and Sulky thread. Highlight and shadow create depth.

A small wool felt  and Momi paper dragonfly, flowers and leaves accented with seed beads create a three dimensional element to the front of the skirt. Black and white checkerboard runs along the bottom of the skirt. Liberty of London floral cotton fabric bodice and sleeves.  Tall cone shaped hat in gray, cream and a touch of maroon colored wool felt with beads, white flowers, tiny dragonflies  and leaves on the side of the hat. Dragonfly on the top of the hat. Hair is charcoal color of fine mohair yarn, sewn and twisted into a sculptural form. OOAK
