Lady Dragonfly
This small doll is balanced to stand on her own, using a “Stump” or “pincushion” style lower body. Wired fingers. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Cotton overskirt is pale gray with tiny dots. A small wool felt and Momi paper dragonfly, flowers and leaves accented with seed beads create a three dimensional element to the front of the skirt. Black and white checkerboard runs along the bottom of the skirt. Liberty of London floral cotton fabric bodice and sleeves. Tall cone shaped hat in gray, cream and a touch of maroon colored wool felt with beads, white flowers, tiny dragonflies and leaves on the side of the hat. Dragonfly on the top of the hat. Hair is charcoal color of fine mohair yarn, sewn and twisted into a sculptural form. OOAK
